| Justin May Joins Gaffney Bennett Public Relations
New Britain, CT – October 27, 2008 - Gaffney Bennett Public Relations (GBPR) is pleased to announce that Justin May has joined the firm. Justin is a 2008 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in English. During his time at UConn, Justin served as “Visiting Writers Series Specialist” for the University’s Creative Writing Program, at which he coordinated PR efforts and conducted media outreach on behalf of writers visiting campus. He was also a nonfiction editor for the Long River Review, UConn’s student-run literary and art journal.
“We are confident that Justin will grow and provide valuable client support at GBPR thanks in no small part to his strong written and communications skills,” said Hank Spring, a principal at GBPR. “Effective writing skills are at the heart of our business. We know Justin will make many valuable contributions to the firm.”
In addition to his experience at UConn, Justin also taught creative writing at the Kent School Summer Writers Camp and gained broadcast experience during his time as a producer and host of radio programs at both Emerson College’s 88.9 WERS and UConn’s 91.7 WHUS. Justin also gained valuable experience interning at another Connecticut-based public relations firm during his time at UConn.
“I am really excited for the opportunity to be working at GBPR,” said Justin. “This is an ideal place to apply what I learned during my time at the University of Connecticut as well as hone my skill in public relations.” |
