NBC Universal Selects Gaffney Bennett Public Relations To Provide Public Relations Services
New Britain, CT (August 2009) – NBC Universal recently selected Gaffney Bennett Public Relations (GBPR) to provide public relations support and counsel as it rolls out several television production initiatives in Connecticut. NBC’s “The Jerry Springer Show,” “Maury,” and “Steve Wilkos Show” will now be filmed at The Rich Forum in Stamford; “Deal or No Deal” featuring Howie Mandell has recently begun filming at Sonalysts Studios in Waterford. The television programs’ relocation to Connecticut comes as a result of the state’s film tax credit program.
“The decision to move these shows to Connecticut is not only beneficial for NBC Universal, but also for the City of Stamford, the Town of Waterford, and the State of Connecticut,” said Patrick Kinney, a principal at GBPR. “NBC Universal’s productions will bring hundreds of jobs and increased economic activity; we’re looking forward to working with them as they expand their presence in Connecticut.”
